Pentecost: Prayer focus

Pentecost Prayer Tree

We transformed a Christmas bauble holder into a Pentecost prayer tree and doves, ribbons and flames were used to decorate it. Pictures of Pentecost were placed around the foot of the tree, along with wooden flame and dove puzzles.









The flame coloured ribbons then became a mini-focus on the carpet with a golden dove nestling in the centre.

Building the church...

This was used as a prayer station at our Pentecost service with the words: The Holy Spirit... inspiring us to build up the church.

People were encouraged to light a candle as a symbol of their part in this. They could then place it on the bricks that had been arranged in the shape of a cross.
